Cambridge: Where I grew up

Hello class!
You have been writing about your hometowns, so today I'll tell you about where I live: Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cambridge is just across the Charles River, so it is very close to Boston. My favorite thing about Cambridge is that it has a lot of parks and trees. One of my favorite parks is Danhey Park, where I played soccer as a child.

I also like Cambridge because it has lots of different restaurants from different parts of the world. My favorite place to eat is a Mexican restaurant called Anna's Taqueria in Porter Square, where you can get tacos, burritos and other Mexican food. Cambridge also has good Ethiopian, Middle Eastern, Asian and Caribbean food.

My favorite thing to do in Cambridge is to walk along the Charles River at night and look at the lights of Boston and the moon. On Sunday, Cambridge closes Memorial Drive, a busy street near the river, so that people can run and ride their bikes along the river.

One of the most interesting things about Cambridge is that there are a lot of universities. For example, I live right near Harvard University, one of the oldest universities in the USA! It was started in 1636! If you have ever been to Harvard Square in Cambridge, then you have been to Harvard University. Another university in Cambridge is called Massachusetts Institute of Technology (also called MIT), which is where my parents work.

If you have any questions about Cambridge, please comment on this post and I will answer them!

Thank you for reading,
-Will
