Bani, The Dominican Republic.

El bohio

Hello! everybody. I want to talk ittle about my town Bani where I grew

Bani is small town , it is located in the south, forty five minutes of distance from Santo Domingo the capital, It is on the coast, Its beaches are saltier than others in the island because there are mines of salt, there are rivers too. Its climate is tropical. There are many hills around.

The streets are narrow, the transportation is regular. There, most people use the motorcycle for transportation because it is small. there are cafeterias, restaurants and stores.

There are many people from Haiti and China too. They work and have businesses there. People are very friendly,Bani is clean and beautiful, Its population of 169,865.

It has a beautiful park in front of the Cathedral Nuestra SeƱora De Reglas. People wander around the area every day. People wake up early and go to work. Bani has a coffee factory, the name of the coffee is Santo Dgo. coffee and tomato souce factory too,It is called La Famosa.
I invite you to go there, you will feel comfortable like at home.

  1. I love your post and the picture you chose. Is this a typical looking house from your town? What is the relationship between people from Bani and Santo Domingo? Have you ever ridden a motorcycle before? It is really interesting to learn that there are many Chinese people living in Haiti. This is something you have taught me! How do people from China and Haiti communicate and survive? Do they learn Spanish?
